ROMAN NIKOLAEV
MANAGING PARTNER
FOR MORE THAN 15 YEARS ROMAN HAS BEEN SUPPORTING RUSSIAN AND INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS’ TRANSACTIONS.

Roman specializes in structuring complex corporate relationships, in legal support to transactions, and in servicing the company’s key customers. He is very experienced in companies’ legal and regulatory risk management. Roman gained his experience in holding positions in major Russian banks and companies, such as Head of the Banking Operations Support and Tax Consulting Department in the TRUST Banking Group, Head of the Legal Unit and a member of the Credit Committee and Asset Restructuring Committee in MDM BANK, and Head of the Legal and Compliance Units in the international online broker ALPARI Group. For several years he was responsible for business owners’ family office, including issues of asset purchase and sale in various jurisdictions, tax minimization and immigration/change of the status of a Russian tax resident.

IVAN NIKOLAEV
Partner. Head of corporate, M&A, litigation and dispute resolution practices
Ivan specializes in corporate law and in representing our customers in court.

He has a long track record of representing his customers in court proceedings over bankruptcies, in corporate conflicts, in disputes over real estate and protection against mala fide takeovers, and in protecting business through criminal law. Ivan’s specialization is commercial disputes, support to M&A and real estate transactions, consulting in the course of investment projects, and developing legal strategies in challenging situations. Ivan graduated from the Law Department of the M. K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University.

ALISA RASTORGUEVA
Head of International Projects
M&A | Investment projects | International Arbitration

Alisa has acquired extensive expertise in advising clients on complex commercial issues. Her experience encompasses negotiations, transaction structuring and management, as well as developing dispute resolution strategies. She supports clients’ M&A projects, investment activities, and venture capital transactions.
Before joining MAYS Partners, Alisa gained experience working for a private bank and a large financial-industrial group. Additionally, she completed internships at leading international law firms, WilmerHale (London) and Allen&Overy (Frankfurt-am-Main).
Alisa graduated from Novosibirsk State University with a degree in international law in 2009 and obtained her LLM degree in international dispute resolution in Queen Mary, University of London. She is fluent in English.

ARTUR SHMOYLOV
Counsel
Artur specializes in civil and corporate law.

Until recently, Arthur worked on corporate law and M&A projects in Tomashevskaya & partners law firm and Rusal. Arthur graduated from the Law Faculty of Lomonosov State University. He is fluent in English.
